To create these one-of-a-kind pieces, I

  1. Select the design and determine what colors I will use for each component.
  2. Condition black or white polymer clay and roll it to the correct thickness.
  3. Carefully select and add the texture to each component to provide interest and depth to the the finished piece.
  4. Cut each component, ensuring that it is as geometrical as possible.
  5. Hand color to each component; in some cases I create unique effects by mixing colors.
  6. Assemble the components.
  7. Cure the piece.
  8. Add the finding and cure the piece a second time.
  9. Finally, I add two coats of varnish to the front and back to seal it and add depth and shine to the color.

It takes a lot of time and attention to detail, but I think the results are worth it.
